Okay Great, So I'm a Reiki 1 - But Now What Do I Do?

So let's talk about Reiki 1, and how to get going...

We all have to start somewhere. We were all beginners at one time, but nobody wants to spend their hard earned cash on a beginner, do they?
They may be no good :-) Or, they may be brilliant - but who would take the gamble? So, how do we gain some much needed experience? Simple - start with yourself. YOU are always your best first client. Always positive and always on time... Who better to pass judgement and give you honest feedback? Who better to experiment on?

With yourself, you can practice long and hard, or quick and easy. You can sit or lie down. You can listen to soft music or something more upbeat. You can use that incense, and start coughing because the rooms too small, or use scented candles instead! Really BE your first client. Come in, sit down. Talk things through with yourself. Get comfy and relax - note what you like and don't like. Choose your music and smells carefully. Choose your colors and clothes carefully too.

If you get agitated about all this, then stop and ask why? Because, if you can't do this for Number One, your most influential client, then how will you be with poor joe-public? Remember - you are going to be there too, for a whole hour or more! Just think about that...

It's okay doing one session, but three a day is three hours in silence (with your client, perhaps, snoring to the music), backache because the chair looked nice but you didn't try it out first, and you come to realize that tinkly water music makes you want to go... :-) So, just take time out to simply give yourself a session once per day. This also sets you up for the day. Giving and sharing with others can, and will, drain you at times. It is good to know how to top up your batteries quickly.

The first month of using Reiki is important because it sets a pattern of behaviour. It also allows any adjustments and changes within you to settle down.
As you feel and note the changes you will know what to expect in your clients. You may feel more tired - so sleep more. You may feel more thirsty - so have plenty of water to hand. You may feel emotionally wobbly - so be gentle with yourself, don't watch the news or horror films etc. Go for walks in nature instead, it'll help ground you. Take a closer look at yourself... Peel your onion and shed your tears as you become whole and at one with yourself. For these are all things that may happen with your clients. And if you've been there too, then there is empathy. In fact, you'll probably find yourself drawing to you - clients who are very like YOU... They'll have an uncanny list of complaints that you just happen to have experienced yourself, so you'll know exactly where they'recoming from and how to deal with it comfortably. For when you know yourself, you will recognize yourself, in every other person.

You see, your whole life experience, so far, has brought you to this moment. You now feel ready to help others move forward in their lives too. Their hopes and fears are yours. Their joys and sorrows are yours too. We cry and laugh together. We mean nothing without each other. This stage in Reiki, to us, is Level One - Reiki 1. Never mind the symbols, just feel and get to know the energy. How it feels for you, tingly, hot, cold, bubbly or even nothing at all. When it seems to work best or worst - (time of day) etc. Using the Reiki for ourselves connects us to 'the one energy'. It expands our awareness. By taking time out to do the Reiki, we slow down. We become conscious of all its subtle nuances. We take time to witness ourselves and how we feel and react. We become aware of where balance is needed both in outer situations and with inner emotions. Healer heal thyself - first - level one!

Then heal others - with gratitude - level two.

For there is only one energy.

You are it... and it is you.

For thou art me and I am you.

Perfection in reflection.

Meditation and Psychic Power, Shaktipat, Kundalini Kriyas, Siddhis, Enlightenment and Ramakrishna 2

From time immemorial it has been known that some people, Yogis, Gurus, Shaman, Priests, Saints, Paramahamsas, Buddhas, Christs, have evolved to a state of high energy.

These pure and good people, wanting benefit and happiness for all, without a trace of selfishness and competition have been known to have psychic powers.

Their search for energy and goodness has precipitated within them the next stage of human evolution.

For thousands of years they have been Good Doctors, Good Priests, founders of religion, Philosophic Geniuses, Advisors of Kings, Musical Geniuses, Poets, Makers of the Law.

For thousands of years these people, wielding amazing Siddhis or Psychic powers, have been recorded as healing of the sick, casting out mental sickness, coming in dreams, communicating through telepathy, the radiation of specialised energies, leaving the body, entering into the body of another, astral travel, telling the future, acting at a distance, raising Kundalini, Shaktipat, the ability to pass healing into amulets, temples, places of peace, pilgrimage sites, creating miracles, birds and beasts come to them in peace.

Of this disciple Ramakrishna eagerly asked when he first saw him, "Tell me, do you see a light above your head when you are going to sleep?" "Doesn't everyone?" asked the boy, in wonder. He had indeed a consciousness of light so great, high up the antahkarana, that he took it for granted that someone had placed a bright lamp above his head. This man was the well-known student of Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda. Vivekananda asked Ramakrishna, "What proofs are there of God's existence?"

And Ramakrishna said, "I am."

A strange answer. Vivekananda had not expected that answer. You also would not have expected it, because when somebody is asking for a proof of God, then there are traditional, philosophical proofs. One expects those proofs. Vivekananda must have been thinking Ramakrishna would say, "Everything needs a creator. The world is, therefore there must be a creator. We may be able to see him or not, but the creator must be there because the world is."

But no, Ramakrishna didn't say anything like that. He was not a philosopher: he was a Sufi. He said, "I am! Look at me. feel me! Go into me! I can take you into that reality that you are calling God. What name you give to it is irrelevant. I have been to those heights -- I can lead the way for you too. Are you ready to come with me?"

Vivekananda was not prepared. He had come to argue. But this is not an argument. This is going to be risky, to follow this madman. One can never be certain where he will lead you.

Vivekananda hesitated. And Ramakrishna said, "Before you ask a question, you should be ready to receive the answer! Are you a coward or something? Why did you ask in the first place?" And Ramakrishna jumped -- he was that kind of madman, -- and he hit Vivekananda with his feet on his chest, and Vivekananda fell into Samadhi.

When after one hour he woke up, he was a transformed man. He bowed down, touched the feet of Ramakrishna, and said, "Excuse me, I am sorry. It was so childish of me to ask such a question. It is not a question -- it is an adventure. And thank you! You have given me a taste of something of which I was not aware at all."

Yes, he did transmit something. But if you read further into the same story, Vivekananda could not retain the experience. Ramakrishna just gave him a little nibble. Then he said, "Don't depend on my touch every time. Now you know there is something beyond; work it out yourself." Then it took many years for Vivekananda to get that experience again.

Ramakrishna gave even that little experience to him because Vivekananda was fit for it. Still, he said, "This is borrowed. I'm giving you a sample. It's something like if I am chewing some nice candy and you come along and say, "Hey, what is that? "Candy. "Ah, can I try some? "Okay, a little piece. "Ah, it's so nice. Where can I get some more? "Go, work, earn money, go to the shop and buy it. I just give you a taste; then you have to work for it.

Sri Ramakrishna had several thousand disciples but he didn't give all of them even that little taste Vivekananda got. So the student should have the proper qualifications for such an experience.

Otherwise, if it is just that easy Ramakrishna could have just touched everybody and said, "Come on, everybody is a Ramakrishna now. Finished. He was not really stingy. He could have done that to a thousand people. Why should he do it to only one, Vivekananda?

That is the proof that there are certain qualifications necessary in the disciple even to perceive something like that.

The Scriptures say that there are three aids to realize the Truth: the Scriptures themselves, the Guru, and your spiritual practice. The Scriptures tell you that sugar is sweet. The Guru will show you that sugar. Your practice will give you the taste. The Guru will not put the sugar in his mouth and say, "It is very sweet. You have to taste it yourself. Even if you open your mouth and he puts the sugar in, if your tongue is totally coated, you can't taste it. It will be bitter to you. So you have to clean your tastebuds. That is the reason we say the disciple must be fit to know the taste.

How many people were able to perceive Jesus Christ when he ascended? Only the very few who really had that faith and devotion. So a good student needs a lot of sincerity, purity of heart and devotion - even to get a little glimpse. And even then, that just becomes a kind of small incentive to work with.

The shaktipat, the radiation of psychic energies by the enlightened can awaken these abilities in all who come to them. This has been known and recorded in the Sacred literature for thousands of years.

Indeed, some sacred literature states that only by access to the energies of the Masters, can enlightenment be passed on.

The search for this next step in evolution comes from the enhancement, the increase, of energy.

As fire is spread from candle to candle. As the sacred word resonates in both he who gives and he who receives. As Grace dropeth as the gentle dew from Heaven, twice blessed.. So a preparation of he who receives, the student, the candle, by the removal of Negative Energy, Energy Blockages, a lack of Energy Blockages allows more Spiritual Energy to be absorbed and used to crystalise, complete, finalise, create the Spiritual Body of another Master, another transmitter of the Truth!

They say that Masters represents infinite power through a complete loss of the selfish ego - When the robe was touched no credit was claimed by the wearer, It was your faith which healed you! said the Master - and so the truism, It takes two to Tango, - the student must be purified and prepared by evolution and spiritual practice to accept the Force, the Energy transmitted by the Master.

All energy blockages stopping the flow of energy through the system and preventing the buildup of psychic power in the system must be removed.

Thus we learn and practice Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Samadhi, Samyama, the Kundalini Kriyas, Chinese Alchemical Taoism and the Micro and Macrocosmic Orbits, VITRIOL and The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus, The Grounding of Negative Energies, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Raja Yoga and the Eighteen Classical Yogas of the Bhagavad Gita.

Thus the torch is passed on from Master to Student.

Another candle is lighted up!

And Masters have existed in every time period.

They exist Now!!

Questions About Your Life Path

You need to know whether you are following your right life path, that your decisions are in keeping with your best and highest good, and that the spirit guides that you feel around you are really real. You want to speak with them directly, see what they look like, find out their names, and ask a bucketful of heartfelt questions. With the help of a spiritual hypnotist, all this is easily done. Here are a few pointers to help you make it happen.

Your Guides Love You

Your guides nudge you from time to time, registering as intuition or deja vu. They are that gut feeling that lets you know to embrace a situation or run away. They are the so-called imaginary friends you had as a child who came to play with you when you needed to not feel so lonely. Now that you are an adult, the clarity of their communication can become cloudy when you are spinning with emotional duress. Sometimes when you need them the most, you may feel the least receptive to their help. Please understand that this phenomenon generates from the human side only. Your guides always desire to help you. When you are ready to open a crystal clear channel of communication, they are right there with bells on. They love you. That is their job.

From Angels to Zoo Animals

You may be pleased to know that angels prevail as spirit guides, and your odds of having several angels looking out for you is high indeed. Keep an open mind when meeting your spirit guides for the first time. In years of helping clients meet their guides through hypnosis, I have known spirit guides to appear as angels, pulsing lights, councils of twelve in white robes, two and four footed animals, alien life forms, and every description of human being imaginable, and so forth. Your guides may be a he, she, it, or they. Having a small group of several guides is common, yet you might have only one. No matter what visual form your guides take, they can and will readily communicate directly with you.

Your Options

You can visit a psychic and have her describe your guides to you, and she'll be happy to deliver messages back and forth, since the reader, not you, experiences them directly. With hypnosis, you have direct communication. Or you can use methods that include years of meditation, near death experiences, and highly illegal non-prescription drugs. Do you have years at your disposal to learn meditation, or do you want answers now? Do you really want to tempt death? Do you trust hallucinogenic street drugs? I assure you, there is a better, safer option, and that is hypnosis. Follow instructions, and it can all be done in an hour or two.

Hypnosis 101

Not believing in hypnosis is like not believing in Tuesday or February. You already go into trance every time you watch a tv show that you like, or read a book that you like, or see a film that you like, or, well, you get the idea. You already go into trance when you sit down to read your email for 10 minutes, and suddenly an hour and a half has passed. You already go into trance when you fall in love or make love. It is like daydreaming to the tenth power. No one can make you go there, just as no one can make you like a movie. When you do like a movie, you naturally enter into a light state of hypnosis. The state deepens when you love that movie. But when you do not like that movie at all, it is exactly because it does not entrance you. Point being, you already love hypnosis, my friend. You spend good money on it. Seen your cable bill lately?

What Hypnosis Is Not

It is not what Hollywood has told you. Sadly, there has never been a single film or television show that accurately portrays how hypnosis actually works. No one controls you in hypnosis any more than they do when you daydream. Hypnosis is not sleep. You can hear all the sounds around you during trance, as you are neither unconscious nor asleep. Hypnosis can not make you murder anyone. Ask any mob boss or CIA agent, and you will hear how money and sex work much better as inducements to criminal behavior. Hypnosis is not mind control. Ask the armed forces if they use it to interrogate prisoners, and their answer will be no. They do not use it because they can not. No one can force you to do anything, legal or otherwise, in trance. And you can come out of trance at any time by simply choosing to do so.

What Hypnosis Is

Please understand that the feeling of being an individual is a necessary part of experiencing a human lifetime, and for that experience, we need a conscious mind as well as the spiritually connected subconscious mind. Your conscious mind filters out the interconnectedness of all energy in the universe expressly so you can have your human experience of being an individual. Hypnosis simply sets aside the conscious part of the mind, and accesses the far larger, more powerful subconscious. In other words, set aside the conscious mind with hypnosis, and its filter disengages. This opens up your senses to the spiritual world, and gives you direct access to your guides.

So Easy, You Do It with Your Eyes Closed

Hypnosis is easier to do than you think. And your guides are happy to talk to you. So what are you waiting for? Meet them today. Oh, and one last note, refrain from asking your guides about money. For some reason, the very idea of money only makes them laugh. Ask them why yourself, if you like. Ask them anything you like. Anything at all. See, they love you. That is their job.

All the guidance you seek is just a trance away. Open your communication channels directly and get the answers you seek using spiritual hypnosis.

Finding Time for Your Ideal Day - A 15-Minute Exercise to Maximize Pleasure in Minimal Time

Time management can be pleasurable. In fact, some of the best exercises to find time and improve the quality of your life are short and easy. One of my favorites is this "Finding Time for Your Ideal Day" visualization in five simple steps:

One: For a month, set aside 15 minutes a day. Select time when you will be uninterrupted. If needed, divide this
exercise into 3 five-minute segments.

Two: Sit back and relax for the first 5 minutes. Imagine your ideal day. In 5 minutes, you can imagine a lot!
Envision yourself waking up, stretching, and going about your ideal day. What are you doing? How are you feeling?
The more vivid your imagination, the better! Sense the sounds, the tastes, the smells, and the sights as the day unfolds before you. Most important, experience the pleasure!

Three: In the next 5 minutes, pick out portions of this ideal day when you are alone or enjoying your animal
companion. You are selecting this set of images because they are completely within your power to bring about,
without others' participation.

Four: Identify a five-minute time slice that you can duplicate today. Select something that you don't currently
do, or something that you generally don't allow yourself to fully enjoy.

Five: Take the third 5-minute segment and do it. Let yourself be totally in the moment. Pick the time of day
when it will be easiest for you, and when this activity (or lack of activity) will mean the most to you.

Does this seem simple? It is! Yet engaging in this exercise provides you with 5 profound benefits:

Benefit One: You develop your powers of visualization. You can call on this skill to reduce stress, enhance creativity
and even promote healing in tiny slices of time.

Benefit Two: You clarify your values about how you want to use your time. The more often you visualize, the more you
learn about what time choices fulfill you. Become an expert on your happiness.

Benefit Three: In just fifteen minutes a day for a month, you create a pattern that's easy to maintain. A month of continuous daily practice establishes a new life pattern. What an easy way to add daily pleasure to your life!

Benefit Four: You prove your power to improve your life through basic time choices. Nothing helps foster
self-reference like experiencing simple pleasures you provide yourself.

Benefit Five: You cultivate the gift of being in the moment. You'll experience firsthand how this focus stretches time and multiplies your capacity for enjoyment.

It works if you work.

What is your next step to find more time?

What You Need To Know About Reiki

By : Kelvin Ho

Reiki is an ancient healing practice that originated in Tibet. This practice has been done for almost 3000 years. The Japanese have used it for relaxation and stress reduction.

It is called a healing practice because it does in fact promote the healing process. This healing takes place through the Chi. Chi is the Japanese word for life force. Reiki itself is composed of two Japanese words, Rei which means God wisdom or higher power, and Ki which means life force energy. Together Reiki is the spiritually guided life force, and that surrounds all of us.

We can all agree on the fact that we are all made up of energy. Everything in the world is made up of energy. Energy can not be created or destroyed; it can be used and manipulated for our benefit though. This is the idea behind this ancient healing.

Reiki uses the laying of hands to manipulate the life force and re-energize, restore and heal the body. The life force is what keeps us alive, if that life force becomes low, as energy can at times, the a person is more likely to become ill or stressed. Likewise if our life force energy is high we are more likely to be healthy and also happy.

To learn this practice, one must go to a Reiki Master. Teaching is done through an attunement session, this is different then the way other healing techniques are taught. This attunement process basically opens up the chakras that each and every person has. This is the crown, the heart and the palms and thereby creates an intimate link between you and the Reiki source. This is a very powerful and moving experience as the energies move through you.

Most people that have had an attunement report that they experience what we would call mystical experiences where personal messages, visions of past lives and other healing takes place. You may notice that your psychic sensitivity is heightened as well making you more intuitive then you were before. Once you have had an attunement session, it lasts forever. While many may require additional treatments depending on their ailments for many others one session has been enough.

With push towards using more natural ways of healing, Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method to use. It will remove all toxins from the body so that you can heal, reduce your risk of developing more health issues and feel better. It is used for not only physical healing, but spiritual healing as well.

Reiki is also a wonderful tool for self improvement. One of the few healing methods in the world that is known to help almost every illness and malady there is. There is an added benefit of having many positive side effects from the treatment. Those side effects include relaxation, a sense of security and feelings of peace and well-being.

This practice can also safely be used in conjunction with all other medical treatments. Using Reiki does not mean that you need to get the go ahead from your family doctor, it will not interfere with what you are currently doing. The goal is to get rid of any side effects you are experiencing and encourage your body to heal properly and naturally. Many people who have undergone such treatments have reported amazing results.

Daily Accounting Meditation Technique for Remarkable Spiritual Growth

By : Anmol Mehta

One of the greatest meditation techniques for making progress in your spiritual evolution, is surprisingly not very well know, or widely practiced. In fact it does not even have a good name, but I call it my Daily Accounting Meditation Technique. This meditation technique is a remarkable tool for self-study, which is the key to self-realization. So what does it mean to do your daily accounting?

Daily accounting meditation means to meticulously, at the very end of the day before going to sleep, review the entire day from the time you woke up to the present moment. During this recall of the day's activities, the following two aspects should be attended to, as reviewing them carefully is the key to understanding the ego-self in action.

1. Emotional Behavior:

As you chronologically go over the day from the time you awoke, pause and reflect upon any episodes that were emotional in nature. See which ones created in you positive emotions and which ones elicited a negative response. In particular, pay attention to those episodes that forced in you a negative emotion.

What made you get angry, jealous, upset, fearful, etc? Think carefully about the situation and especially how it relates to your ego-self. What was it that you wanted and did not get? What was it that you were afraid of losing? What is it that another had, which you wished you possessed? Try and find the root cause of this reaction and study it carefully.

During this contemplation, make sure you do not judge yourself harshly or criticize your behavior. That has no benefits. Instead look upon it like a scientist. An outside, impassionate observer. Just carefully examine what took place. In this way you will start to understand your attachments and understanding your attachments is the first step in being free from them.

As you delve into these episodes, ask yourself if you could have done things differently. In fact, even replay the entire episode with yourself behaving in a more positive, relaxed manner. Practice this way so that the next time you are in a similar situation, you will perhaps be able to handle it will greater composer and poise.

2. Pretentious Behavior:

Again as you replay your day mentally, pause at any episode where you did not behave absolutely honestly. This may not be easy to spot initially, as putting on a false face and manipulating reality has almost become second nature to us. But as you practice this meditation technique, you will be able to better recognize all the pretentious behavior you participate in throughout the day.

Learning to give up this dishonesty, even if it goes in the name of diplomacy, is a very key factor in helping you with your spiritual growth. All the energy you waste in building and keeping up an image of yourself is freed up, as now you are simply going to be who you are, regardless of the consequences. You will find this simple change, to not only be liberating, but also a catalyst for propelling you forward in your spiritual evolution.

Summary:

So there you have the details of this very simple, yet powerful meditation technique to assist you in learning about the ego-self. As the great teachers that have come before us have time and again emphasized, be a light onto yourself. The daily accounting meditation technique is a potent method to shine the light of awareness onto the dark corners of your being, thus leading to eventual illumination and awakening.
